Dr Ono Supriadi
Academic Director
Associate Professor, School of Business
Dr. Ono Supriadi is an internationally experienced business academic and researcher whose career spans Indonesia and Australia. He holds an MBA in International Business from Flinders University and a PhD in Management from University of Newcastle, supported by prestigious Australian scholarship programs.
As Academic Director of Western Sydney University Indonesia and Associate Professor in the Business School, Dr. Supriadi is passionate about advancing research-informed business education with a global perspective. His research focuses on international business, entrepreneurship, business internationalisation, digital consumer behaviour, artificial intelligence, and technology-enabled business innovation. His work has been published in international journals and IEEE conferences, examining topics such as AI-powered learning, digital marketing, social media engagement, and consumer decision-making.
Through his research, teaching, and leadership, he is committed to strengthening connections between Indonesia, Australia, and the wider global business community.
Dr Aamir Shahzad
Associate Professor, School of Computer, Data and Mathematical Sciences
Aamir Shahzad is a multidisciplinary academic with over a decade of international experience across China, Russia, Sweden, Pakistan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia. He holds a PhD in Electronics Engineering from Beihang University and an MS in Advanced Combinatorics from MIPT.
His research focuses on communication systems, signal processing, graph theory, combinatorics, and information theory, emphasizing mathematical foundations of modern computing. Published and presented work in IEEE venues on wireless communications, spectral methods, and information theory. He has taught undergraduate courses and contributed to curriculum design, governance, and edtech content development. Based in Indonesia, he continues teaching and research engagement.
Dr Alexander Yohan
Associate Professor, School of Computer, Data and Mathematical Sciences
Alexander Yohan is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Western Sydney University Indonesia, with international research and experience across Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia, and Australia.
His research focuses on blockchain, applied information security, Internet of Things, and trusted computing, with emphasis on secure firmware updates and privacy-preserving protocols. He earned his Master’s and PhD from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology and has held teaching and research roles in Taiwan and Japan, including Kanazawa University. He has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and supervised students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, integrating global perspectives into teaching curriculum development.
Dr Muhammad Masyhuri
Associate Professor, School of Business
Dr. Muhammad Masyhuri is an Associate Professor of Business at Western Sydney University Indonesia with over 15 years of senior leadership experience across Asia, Australia, and Europe. His research focuses on corporate governance, finance, entrepreneurship, competitiveness, organisational performance, and digitalisation in emerging markets.
Dr Mas holds a PhD from the University of Pécs, an MBA from the University of Queensland, and a Bachelor’s from IPB University. He has worked with organisations including FAO, regional enterprises, and global research projects. His international academic and professional background enables him to bridge theory and practice, advancing business education and impactful research globally worldwide impact.
Dr Rischan Mafrur
Lecturer, School of Computer, Data and Mathematical Sciences
Dr Rischan Mafrur is a lecturer at Western Sydney University Indonesia (WSUI) and a data scientist with international experience across Australia, Southeast Asia, and remote global projects. He earned a PhD in Data Science from the University of Queensland, Australia, and previously worked at Macquarie University and SIRCA in Sydney on financial data engineering and blockchain analytics.
His research focuses on AI, data warehousing, DeFi analytics, and visualization. He has received Kaggle Silver Medals and ranks in the top 3–4% globally. He has published widely in blockchain and visualization research and collaborates internationally on data systems and applied machine learning.
Dr Shinta Havidz
Associate Professor, School of Business
Shinta Amalina Hazrati Havidz is an Associate Professor in Finance at Western Sydney University Indonesia, specialising in cryptocurrency, FinTech, Islamic finance, investment, and financial markets. She earned her PhD and MBA from Wuhan University of Technology, China, under a Chinese Government Scholarship, and her bachelor’s degree in Indonesia.
Her international academic experience spans China and Indonesia, with prior roles at BINUS University and President University. Her research focuses on digital assets, macro-financial shocks, and market uncertainty, published in Q1–Q2 Scopus-indexed journals. She is also an active international journal reviewer and received the MURI award as the youngest Indonesian woman PhD graduate at age 25.
