Who can apply for Study Abroad at our Indonesia campus?
The Study Abroad program at Western Sydney University Surabaya is designed for:
- Undergraduate or postgraduate students currently enrolled at a university outside Indonesia (including Western Sydney University's campuses in Australia on which you can find out more by visiting our Go Global page),
- European students seeking an English-taught semester outside Europe (We have special programs catered for students coming from Europe)
- Students who have completed at least one year of full-time study (or equivalent) of their degree program
- Students seeking credit transfer towards their home degree
- Study Exchange programs are also available if you are currently studying at a university that has an active exchange agreement with Western Sydney University
Please note students who are interested in our Study Abroad or Study Exchange programs must receive approval from their home university to ensure credit recognition.
Key dates and when you can apply
Applications typically open several months prior to each intake. Students are encouraged to apply early to allow time for visa processing and subject approval.
August 2026 Intake
- Orientation:19 August 2026
- Semester begins: 24 August 2026
- Exams: 14 – 23 December 2026
- Semester ends: 24 December 2026
February 2027 Intake
- Semester begins: 1 February 2027
- Exams: 24 – 31 May 2027
- Semester ends: 1 June 2027

Students may enrol in either 3 subjects or 4 subjects.
A 20% tuition discount applies for 2026.
